Tecomet
offers precision Photochemical Machining and etching to create complex shapes, patterns and textures of the highest quality and with the greatest repeatability. Tecomet’s precision photochemical machining process is a superior alternative to laser cutting and conventional machining for thin films and precision components with fine details and small cross sections. Etching creates burr free and stress free parts that do not warp. The process relies on engineered photo tools and process chemistry, and since there is no tool wear, the patterns and features are highly accurate and reproducible.
Tecomet has also developed a range of proprietary etching technologies that can be applied to our customer’s products, such as:
- Tecotex® etched surface textures on flat and 3D surfaces
- Trabeculite™ etched/stack laminated porous trabecular metal structures
- Tecogrip™ etched enhancement of porous foams
